Start your journey through Pang Mapha, where your guide shares stories passed down through the Karen hills. On the way to the trailhead, stop to admire the stunning mountain view before entering the chambers of Lod Cave, one of the largest and most mysterious in Mae Hong Son Thailand. Bamboo rafts carry you through darkness and light.
From there, follow your guide on foot. Every fork in the trail reveals a secret: a herbal plant used to heal fever, a stream once used by forest monks, or an old elephant trail long reclaimed by jungle.
Lunch is served trailside, where you might learn how locals collect food from the forest. And when you reach Ban Muang Pam, the journey turns inward.
